Raffles City advert from today
wonderful view, isn't it? breath-taking!
crazeeee bunch of girls! *grin*
so we reached the ferry terminal at seattle at 9pm, and had to walk 1.2km to our hotel. haha.. and there were tons of hills.. steep steep ones that go UP. we're such cheapos rite? had to save that money lar. din do much on that nite. had an early nite coz we wanted to rest for our long day the next day.
day 2
had an early start by getting the car at 8am, rite when the rental company opened for business. it was fun (& a bit scary!) coz i hadn't driven on the other side of the road for a long time. but it was all cool. haha.. no mishaps or anithing like that. we drove down to the seattle premium outlets, which was abt an hour away from where our car rental company was located. and that's the car we rented! they upgraded our car for free coz they ran out of smaller cars. *grin* which was a gd thing, since we had 6 pple in the car. that's a ford taurus, really quite big. very smooth drive too. =)

so that's all 6 of us in the car! woohoo~ that's me in the driver's seat! cheryl was next to me navigating. she did a great job of that. =)

gorgeous view of seattle from the car.
we spent 11 hours at the factory outlets!! woohoooo~ it was madness. stayed from 10am to 9pm, which is when the shops close. *grin* the stuff was crazily cheap coz of the columbus sale that was going on, and so everyone showed their true-blue singaporean colours and shopped like mad. until we almost literally dropped. hahaha..
before all the shopping...
what do u get when u put 6 singaporean girls and you put them in a factory outlet? *grin* look at that MASSIVE pile of plastic bags!

the 5 of us who bought and were wearing our uvic jackets. *grin* so much school unity eh.
day 3
we split up wif cheryl and ellince who wanted to go up the space needle. the rest of us went to downtown seattle to explore. we went to pike place market, of coz. it was a really great experience!
graffiti on the wall. 'twas a gorgeous sight. real pieces of art, although i'm sure sum pple would call it vandalism. haha..

and that's the space needle, which was actually really close to our hotel. it's this tourist attraction where u can see the whole of seattle from on top of it. it's USD$14 to go up once. (ex hor)

took this from the pier. gorgeous rite!

pike place market! they had tons of fresh fruit, fish, seafood, etc. (really ex tho, so we din buy ani of that)

LOOK AT THAT FRESH SEAFOOD AND DROOL! hahaha.. coz we did. gosh. pike place is really cool, they haf the orange jumper store, which is world famous. remember our mpw lessons where they showed the video of them throwing the fish to each other and cracking farnie jokes? well, that's what we saw there! really cool. din manage to take any photos of that coz it all happened too quickly.
had cod & chips, salmon & chips, clam chowder and shrimp cocktail for lunch. *slurp*
that's the shrimp cocktail. shiok!!

haha.. this was taken at the harbour steps, which had tons of statues there. took this farnie pose coz i couldn't resist. *grin*
some more of those whacky statues!
that's the hammer man statue in the backgrnd.

bunch of pple wif placards that said 'FREE HUGS'. they really gave out free hugs! haha.. no clue why dey did that tho.
we went to the first starbucks in the world. that's me pointing to this golden thing that said that.
that's how many starbucks outlets there are arnd our home region.
and that's how many starbucks outlets there are in north america! madness rite.

we had dinner at the crab pot. which has a really cool concept. they made everyone wear those huge bibs so none of that seafood would end up on our clothes. den they gave us wooden boards and mallets.

that's melissa and me in sepia.

yes, look at my delighted face. all that seafood! *drools* the mussels, oyster and crab were wonderfully fresh and succulent. *grin*

look at me. i din even noe where to start. haha...
all rite! that's briefly what happened during our seattle trip. i really gtg. need to meet rebecca to discuss our next trip this weekend! we're going to tofino. haha.. shall update u guys as soon as the details have been nailed down.
