well, no pics this time.. (a first for jt!) i'm juz in a bout of 'gosh i miss all of you guys back home' mood. guess coz for the pple hu haf been toking to me online, u noe what i've been going thru here. n guess it doesnt help that i'm the only singaporean staying in the dorm.
it suddenly struck me how big a contrast there is over here and back home. i'm stating the obvious here, but i'm usually surrounded by all the lovely cf-ers that love, joke, tease each other, almost every day. one thing that always happens back home: edification. i really understand how impt it is to haf fellow christians wif u, so that u can remind each other nt to be of the world. that we're actually different now, no longer one of the pack. i'm so thankful that i haf jolene and ellince here, so that we can at least share and encourage each other.
anyway, one good thing abt being the only singaporean in the dorm is that i haf alot of free time to do tons of stuff. like keeping up wif my readings, actually having time to do my project work w/out foregoing hours of sleep. haha.. and the most impt thing: i get to read the bible every single day! as in, i haf more time to spend wif God alone now, which is juz so cool.
speaking of the bible, i'm joining one of the navs' bible study. it's a grp of girls, and we'll be doing the book of nehemiah. i'm finally doing a book from the OT! and i'm SO excited. coz i haven't really touched the OT before. * jt jumps and down wif excitement*
ahhh! this is exciting news: we're going to seattle after all! wooohoooo~ (of coz that means i haf to scrimp and save like mad so that i haf enuff money, but hu cares?) here's what's happening: we'll be heading down south towards seattle via the victoria-vancouver way. we'll drive down to seattle from vancouver! and this will be done during the canada thanksgiving holiday, which gives us a longer weekend! (oct6-9, for those hu din noe that thanksgiving is celebrated on a different date in canada as compared to the usa) we'll be renting two cars, bcoz we found another driver! kudos to chris! (hu i havent met, but is a housemate of ellince, meera n melissa ho) exciting rite?
i really wanna thank the pple back home hu have been constantly asking how i've been, praying for me, and basically thinking of me. haha.. i noe it's busy busy time back home in smu, so i do appreciate all that.
